Myanmar, alternatively known as Burma or Golden Land, is a Nation of remarkable beauty and cultural richness marred by the oppressive grip of its authoritarian leadership. Under the rule of the military junta, this Amazingly Wonderful Country has witnessed a systematic and severe crackdown on dissent, perpetrated by security forces across the nation. This crackdown has led to the exodus of thousands of political refugees into neighboring countries, seeking sanctuary from persecution. Regrettably, Myanmar’s human rights record under the military regime has consistently ranked among the most egregious in the world. The widespread violations of fundamental human rights have cast a dark shadow over the nation, highlighting the urgent need for international attention and intervention to address the ongoing plight of its people.
Living under a military junta, no one … is safe
